We've found that traditional brainstorming in a group is ineffective, especially for introverts who are usually reserved. Group brainstorming favors the extraverted, gregarious types. A far better method is to have individuals collect their ideas and thoughts independently. And then have those ideas evaluated on their own merit anonymously. This serial method leads to far better results than a parallel method of idea generation.
